Fashionista!! For Market Street

Hello! I hope you all are having a great long weekend!! We are finally having some nice weather here in Wisconsin. Though it might not be as warm as it should be, I will take what we have right now. For my Market Street Stamps card today, I used the Zebra Print background and Fashionista stamp set. I think that these sets work amazingly well together and are so much fun! To fill in the shoe, I used stickles, and on the yellow Zebra print background, I sprayed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. The fashionista sentiment was stamped with Versamark then covered with embossing powder.

Day 89 365 Cards Challenge

Hello! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!! I am looking forward to the wonderful temps that the weathermen are telling us are coming this way.I can't believe we are already to the end of May. School ends this coming week, and I am really looking forward to having that time with my girls. Also, coming later this week is one of my closest friends. Her and her husband will be spending the next two weeks with us while they await their first grandbaby!! So, for this week's 365 Cards Challenge we were given a new prompt word each day, and today's happens to be "light." So, I used an adorable stamp by this week's sponsor, Sparkle Creations . It is called Cupcake Ruby and you can find her here . I have been coloring in my images so much lately, I thought I would take a break and leave it just stamped. For the "light part of the card, I used my glitter pens to color in the flame and make some flare around it. I really don't know what I would do wi

Baby Brag Book 3!!

Here is another of the baby brag books that I made for a friend. I can't tell you how much fun I have making these things. And, they make such great gifts, whether for a baby or even a wedding shower! Bo Bunny's 6x6 Bare Naked Binders is what I usually go with, but I do have two of the 9x9 ones sitting on my craft table right now just waiting to be made into something amazing. I believe the patterned paper that I used on this one was from Piggy Tales, but I can't be positive. The rub-ons are from a variety of places. I added some ribbon and metal tabs also, along with some felt words. Hope you all have a great weekend! I will be back tomorrow with my next card for the 365 Cards challenge blog.

Baby Brag Book 2!!

Here is another baby brag book I made. This one was for a close friend who already knew the sex and name of the baby. I added the initials of the baby on the front and a couple of prompts for the type of pictures to be put in, but left most of the pages for anything that they wanted. I didn't use a whole lot of embellishments for this one, except for some bling, acetate shapes, paper, flowers and rub-ons. Hope you enjoyed!!!   Project Recipe Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye Rub-ons: Basic Grey Acetate Shapes: My Mind's Eye Ribbon: unknown Bling: unknown Paper Flowers: Close to My Heart

Baby Brag Book!!

This is a baby brag book that I made a couple of years ago for my cousin and his wife. I always meant to post it, but never got around to it. I used Bo Bunny's 6x6 Bare Naked Binder and My Mind's Eye Paper and embellishments. At the same time as this, I also made 6 other versions of these for various people. {Something had to have been in the water, as they were all due within a month of each other, and not all of them knew each other either.}  I think that the pictures may be pretty self explanatory, but if you have any questions at all, please let me know. I used a super strong adhesive to glue the paper to the chipboard very near to the edges. I also did all of my stapling of the ribbon to the pages before I glued them down, as getting them pulled back up is extremely hard to do without ripping the paper. {Learned that from experience!} Once all the pages were glued down, I sanded around all of the edges. I thought that gave it a better look.  I also wrapped ribbon aro

365 Cards Day 82 Challenge!!

Welcome back to another card for the Saturday challenge from 365 Cards . This week our sponsor is DRS Designs . Take a second to go over and check them out. They have some super amazing images to work with. Here is the challenge for today: Caught in a Corner - You know those big and fabulous pieces of patterned paper that are perfect for a scrapbook page, but not necessarily for a card?  Well that's what I want you to use on your card.  It can have decorative edging, or perhaps a large picture on it that you have to cut into.  The idea is to show how you can use that sort of patterned paper on a card, by cutting down a corner of it (or really any piece of it). And here is my card:   If you haven't had a chance to do so yet, hop on over to the 365 Cards blog and give the challenges a whirl. Pam does an excellent job of getting your mojo flowing! Out of this World!!

Thought I would share this super cute layout I did of my nephew. He is just about the cutest thing out there! He is always talking with such a big vocabulary, and sounds like a mini grown up. I went shopping with him and my sister the other day, and I was yabbering at him like crazy, arguing with him about everything he was telling me. For example, we were going through the makeup aisle and he asked me what something was {can't remember exactly what it was} and I told him it was for girls and asked him if he would like one. He said, "No, I'm not a girl!" And I continued to ask him what he was then. "Are you a puppy? A kitty? A monkey? A goose?" I asked him about 10 things, then he finally got sick of it and said, "I'M A BOY!!!" Of course, I told him I didn't believe him. We went to the next aisle without saying anything else and just as we were stopping to get a hand soap refill, he looked at me and said, "I love my daddy more than you

Market Street Stamps Sketch Challenge 2!!

Hello! Glad you could join me today for my next inspirational project for Market Street Stamps ' Sketch Challenge 2. I had a lot of fun with this weeks sketch. Though it is pretty simple as a sketch, there was an added twist to use a background stamp as an embellishment.  Here is the sketch: And here is my card. I used the Woodgrain background and stamped onto some patterned tissue paper, then punched them out with a scalloped circle. I layered then, put a brad through the middle, scrunched up each layer, unfurled them, and wallah! super pretty flower. I then added some bling for some added pop. I then took a scrap piece of the green cardstock and placed a piece of painters tape where I wanted my sentiment to go, then stamped the Woodgrain background on the piece of paper. Finally, I took off the painters tape and stamped the sentiment. Hopefully you can tell, I took my clear glitter pen ans traced over the letters for a little extra sparkle. Hop on over to the Market Street

365 Cards Day 68 Challenge!!

For today's challenge over at 365 Cards I was challenged to use this image for inspiration: What I made was this card: The Rosie the Riveter poster makes me think about the long way that women have come in this nation. We have made great strides in political, economical, and monetary aspects of the US, but there are still a great number of us who struggle with the belief in ourselves. The sentiment I put on the card is for myself, my friends and family, and all of the women out there to remind us that we all have greatness inside, we just need to believe in it. I also decided to use the color scheme for the card. They are so bold and strong, just like us women!! Color Cue Challenge 2 with Market Street Stamps!!

Hello everyone! I am slowly but surely getting back in the groove of things after being on vacation last week. We got the opportunity to go down to Arkansas and visit with some friends and have lots of fun. We were able to dodge the tornadoes that tore through that part of the state, my oldest daughter ran in her very first 5k {she did a great job!!}, and we were able to be there for their annual Toad Suck Daze Festival. But now I am back to the grind, and is it sad at all to say that I really missed work? I LOVE my job!! Anyhoo, here is my card for Market Street Stamps Color Cue challenge of the month. I used two of the new April releases on it. If you haven't seen them yet, you have got to go check them out! Amazing is all I can say about that ;) Well, hope you enjoy!
