It's a Fall Card!

Here is a card I recently made for a swap. The idea was to use a brown paper bag, and the theme was fall. The supplies I used are as follows: Unity Stamps' Simple Blessings, Tattered Angel's Sugar Maple Glimmer Mist, Tim Holtz distress inks in Rusty Hinge, Walunt Stain, and Vintage Photo, Tom Holtz Distress Stickles in Antique Bronze, and Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder in Walnut Stain. I really liked how this card turned out even though it is a little plain. Hope you enjoy!

Spooky Fun!

Hello, Ladies! I am back with a layout. I know I havn't done one for a while, so here it goes. This is one that I made for a display in the store. Like I have said before, I completely love Halloween! This layout was made using the Blackbird collection from My Minds Eye. I know I have been using that company a lot lately, but I have been infatuated with all of their lines lately. I have come to the conclusion that I need to start journaling more. I've known that I needed to start doing it, but the thought absolutely frightens me. Do you have problems journaling at all? I don't really know what the problem is, but it might have to do with the fact that someday, a future grandchild might pick up one of those books and say to their mom, "What the heck was Grandma DoBea talking about?" I tend to get lost in what I am trying to say most of the time, and it is no different when I am speaking out loud. My words end up getting jumbled with thoughts, and then it all gets m

Christmas Giftcard Cards

Here are 4 giftcard cards that I made using My Minds Eye Holly Jolly line. I think they turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. I got the ideas for these cards from a card swap that happened at the store last month, and a couple were pretty ingenious, i thought. Let me know if you want any details on them at all. They were super fun to make and I plan on using them often, whether for Christmas or birthdays. i took one picture of the outside and one with it open so you can see where the gift cards would go.

Haunted

Halloween happens to be my favorite holiday. I just can't ever seem to get enough decorations, ideas, paper, embellishments, or just plain ol' anything that has to do with that particular day. I think my love of it stems from the thought of being able to act and feel like a kid again, knowing that those days are long gone and adulthood is fully upon me. Watching as my kids have so much fun makes it all the better. The feel of the pumpkin guts, the smell of fall, all the candy and the general feeling can't be replaced. And, I guess it all brings memories back of my dad decking out the back of his truck with hay bales and driving us down the country roads to get our little treats. Here is a project I have been working on for a few days. Kept making tweaks here and there, trying to get it right, and I think I finally have it. I used the Haunted line from My Minds Eye for the paper and decorative brads, stamp sets from My Minds Eye and Tattered Angels, Marshmallow mist from Ta

Grateful!!

I know, 2 posts in one day! How lucky are you? ;) Here is a project that I made for the store to use in a booth coming up. I love making these things and usually do for each holliday. This time I used Imaginisce's Apple Cider line. Super easy, super fun!

Scrap room pics

Okay ladies, here are some pictures of my scraproom. Please excuse the mess. I need some ideas on what else I can do in order to make it more functional. I know it will become a lot better once the hubby builds my closet, but that won't be until winter. I do have some decorations that will eventually be put up (a small collection of ds that has been making a pile. Let me know what you think and also, if you have any questions.

Love U

Hello! Hope everybody is having a great start to the new school year. I am completely torn on the issue. I love having my kids home, but I do not miss the shear boredom that they were going through. I have never seen 2 girls so eager to go back to school. Well, here is a card I made using The Girls Paperie collection Paper Girl. I love all of the colors that they used together. The flower on the card was using 2 different sized punches and then getting them wet and scrunching them up, then I put some stickles on. I cannot stop myself from making these flowers. They have become totally addicting, so if you start to get sick of them, let me know and I will attempt to start a 12 step program. Hope you enjoy! P.S. If any of you would like to see something more specific let me know.
