Welcome to another 365 Cards Saturday Challenge!
Today's challenge is: Touchy Feely.
Add three distinct textures to your card - there are lots of options for this - felt, fleece, flocking, glitter, wet/dry embossing, dimensional adhesive - anything you can think of as long as they each come from a different source. |
The textures I added are: debossing, crackle paint and glitter. In the picture below you can see the debossing and crackle paint a little better.
In order to achieve the debossing, all you have to do is use the opposite side of the paper after dry embossing. I used a Sizzex embossing folder for this.
For the crackling, I applied the Tim Holtz Rock Candy Distress Crackle to the whole card and then before it could dry, I used a piece of chipboard to scrape it off everywhere except where is was recessed in the snowflakes.
As for the snowflakes, I used my Palette glue pad to cover the Maya Road snowflakes and then covered them in the glitter and let them dry.
The labels that the Peachy Keen Stamps sentiment is on comes from Lettering Delights. The patterned paper is Echo Park and the border punch is from EK Success.
I love love love the colors you used on here. I would never think to put those colors together and they look so perfect! Wow
