Joy. Love. Peace.

Hello on this beautiful Saturday morning! We are busy, busy around the house getting ready for a birthday party for the youngest little. She is turning 11 and I just can't believe how fast those years have gone by. I tends to make me teary if I dwell on it too long. But, on to why I am really here. Today's challenge over on the 365 Cards blog is Two Techniques. Select any of the two following techniques to use on your card: sanding, masking, embossing, stamping with ink, shading with pastels or sponging. I chose to emboss and stamp, though I did do some sanding also, but it is difficult to see in the picture. Also, I made the tree out of tape by Bella Blvd. I laid it out on a white piece of paper and then cut out a triangle from it. The trunk is stamped with the Joyful Snowman sentiment from Market Street Stamps on some Core'dinations paper (which also makes up the matting) and then the edges were sanded slightly. I hope you have a great weekend...

Market Street Stamps : Happy Halloween!

Hello, hello, HELLO!!  Today is my turn to share a project over on the Market Street Stamps' blog and I am so getting into the Halloween spirit already! The stamp set featured on my card is Sweet Spooks and Angelica certainly made it that! It has the most adorable images that are perfect for the holiday. The paper is from Echo Park's The Apothecary Emporium collection from last year. The top piece of the patterned paper was run through the Cuttlebug with the Stampin Up embossing folder Spider Web. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Welcome back for the next challenge over at the 365 Cards blog . Today's prompt is Muted: Use colors and patterns that are opposite of bold, keep them muted instead. And here is my card: Don't forget to check out the rest of this weeks' challenges!

Also, all of the new stamps will be available for sale at 7am cdt tomorrow morning. This first one is from the stamp set Hit the Mark. And this next one is using the set Dreamcatcher. Birdie Blossoms

Today is a great new challenge from the 365 Cards blog ! The prompt is Blossoming: Use at least three flowers on your cards. We have a great sponsor this week, Robyn's Fetish , who has provided me with this  A Little Birdie Told Me digi stamp. And you could have a chance to win 5 of your own digi stamps just for playing along with any of our challenges this week! I printed the image out on watercolor paper and then heat set it using my Heat It tool for a minute. I did have a little bleeding from the printer ink yet, though I think that was mainly because I was impatient. I then colored in the image using Tim Holtz Distress Stains and a Aqua Pen. The patterned paper is from Teresa Collins. I used the following Distress Stain colors: Stormy Sky Chipped Sapphire Faded Jeans Brushed Corduroy Vintage Photo Milled Lavender Dusty Concord Crushed Olive Peeled Paint Mustard Wild Honey

Core Cards Creative Frenzy!

Hello! I have some fun cards to share tonight. All three are featuring Core'dinations Cardstock . For this first card, I used the Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection. I have a real soft spot in my heart for both Tim Holtz and kraft paper, so this paper is absolutely perfect.  I used the two different Core papers in my Cuttlebug with embossing folders. The die-cuts are from last year's Fancy Pants Oct 31 Collection. I also used a Copic marker to color the white thread in the ribbon to make it a light tan color to more fit the palate of colors in the card. The second card was also made using the same Kraft-Core collection. The base was cut down and folded into a longer, skinnier card, and then sanded around the edges to give it the distressed look. The image in the bottle cap was stamped using the Market Street Stamps' set Life is Beautiful {the Honeycomb background stamp is also from Market Street Stamps!} and then punched out with a 1" round ...

Popped Up!

Hello! Today starts a brand new challenge over on the Peachy Keen Stamps' blog . This week's Just Cards Challenge is Popped Up! Use foam tape, foam squares, dimensional glue dots, or other creative means. For my card, I used the August Stamp of the Month Kit and the Peachy Picks Kit along with an Action Wobble to pop up the center crayon and foam dots to pop up a frame around the edges. You could win a great prize by joining in on the challenge fun. Just hop on over to the blog and link up your very own project!!

Follow Your Heart

Here is my card for today's 365 Cards Challenge. The prompt is Bound: Use floss, twine, or if you do not have either, something close enough to it, to wrap around your card. Here is a close up of the bottle cap. I stamped the image, and then punched at a 1" circle of the hands holding the heart. I then used a 1" Gluber from Cosmo Cricket to adhere the circle in the bottle cap, and then used another Gluber to adhere the bottle cap to the card. Follow Your Heart Patterned Paper: Echo Park {Everyday Eclectic} Stamps: Market Street Stamps: Persimmons Studio { Love } Flowers: Prima Stick Pins: Maya Road Bottle Cap: Bottle Cap Inc. Twine: The Twinery {Caribbean, Honeydew}

I hope you are enjoying the sneaks so far, and don't forget to peruse the   Peachy Keens Stamps blog   to see more wonderful peeks from other Design Team girls.
