What a week it has been!! Hope your's has been better than mine! The oldest has had a hacking cough since the beginning of the week, and things just seem to be going down hill from there with fevers and such. Hopefully we can get her seen today and get her some prescribed meds to help her not feel so miserable. That coughing just does not want her to be able to rest!

Well today is another new challenge over on the 365 Cards blog with the prompt being
Skewed: Make it where all of the elements of the card are skewed (not straight).

And here is my example:

The patterned paper is from Crate Paper's Fourteen collection and the bling is from various manufacturers. The stamp sets, Funky Herringbone and Birds of a Feather, are from Market Street Stamps.

Here is a close-up of the Funky Herringbone. I used Versamark Ink and Ranger Fine Detail black embossing powder to make the background of the Polaroid. I then used Tim Holtz Distress Stains and Water Brush to color in the herringbone. The colors of Distress Stains that I used were Old Paper, Broken China and Spun Sugar.

The heart punch is from Fiskars and the pink jute is from American Crafts.

  1. What a darling card!!! I just love the colors and the bling..

    Scrappy hugs,
    Amanda :0)

  2. ohhhh you rocked that challenge!!!! I have the HARDEST time not having things be straight.. lol.. I wouldn't do well.. you make it look sooo easy!!!

  3. LOVE this card, but I'm gonna have a tough time with this challenge! :)
