December kit layouts

Here are a couple more layouts that I made using my December kit. I have a couple more things to show you, but my flash batteries need to charge before I can do that. All of the patterned paper is by Echo Park.
For my Christmas albums, I really try to keep all of my pages simple. I usually have so many pictures and I would rather not detract from them. I don't really use any kind of techniques, either. But, when the album is all put together, I just seems better that way, at least to me. For this layout, the title letters are also from Echo Park, the buttons were in my stash and the ribbon is from Maya Road.
In this next layout  the title is made of Thickers from American Crafts, the mini Kraft bag is from Scrap Within Reach, the flowers and bauble are from Making Memories, the red ribbon is from Maya Road and the brown ribbon is from American Crafts.
Here is a close up of the mini kraft bag. What I did was make a little tag to go inside of it that listed the type of cookies that we baked this year. Thanks for looking!

  1. Love these pages! I like to keep my pages fairly simple and focused on the photographs most of the time...I like your use of strips of paper and tucking the tags behind things. I often make my photo mats *pockets* by adhering them only on 3 sides...then I tuck a tag or another photograph behind. Such a fun surprise--and you'll love knowing exactly which cookie you baked in the years to come! Thanks so much for sharing! karelj http://karelj.blogspot.com

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Day 2

Welcome back to day number two!  I am so happy to see you all back here for my Guest Design Team spot for Peachy Keen Stamps . For today's project I will be using the Tuesday Sketch Challenge from the Challenge Blog . I used the Cheers and Green Beer stamp set for my card. I have been so focused lately on Valentine's Day that I have completely blocked out St. Patty's Day! But here is a card to remedy that. I used my Copic Markers to color in the images and used my Spica Glitter Pens for added definition. I am glad to say that I think I am finally getting the hang of these markers. I masked the coins to give a continuous border of them and used a pop dot under the mug of green beer. Don't forget to leave a comment here and at the Peachy Keen Blog for your chance to win the Valentine Cupids stamp set! Thanks for stopping by!!!
