Hello! I have decided that on Mondays I am going to try to start to play along with some challenges, not only to help me on those funky kind of weeks, but I know that sometimes I get into ruts. So I decided to choose  one from Play Date Cafe . Here is the picture that they used: And here is the card I made. So, I took a field trip into town the other day so I could hit all of the craft stores, and I have to tell you, good thing the hubby was out of town. If he saw me walk in the house with all of those bags, my ears would still be burning! So you ask, DoBea, what did you all get? -Fabric remnants, and lots of them. (You will see these pop up pretty soon.) -A new border punch. (Saw it and just had to have it.) -Tim Holtz embellies. (Fragments, masks, metal findings.And I don't think I paid full price for a one of them.) -A small dress form. (Perfect for the jewelry I make. What? You didn't know I did that too?) -A pack of cardstock. (All of my white was gone, so I was in a pinch.) -Two more Tim Holtz Distress Inks. (I only need two more, and I have them all. Do you know how hard it is to find Aged mahogany and Pine Needles?) -A bunch of the new MME patterned paper. (Oh, so YUMMY!) -Echo Park's For the Record paper pack. (Where has this been all of my life?) And last,

Here are some more ATCs that I have made in the past couple of days. I am really getting into these things. They really come together so easily, and they are so small (3.5x2.5) yet you can still be so creative with them! Don't forget, I am looking for some feedback from you all. I would like to know if anyone is still making these things out there, if you actually trade them, and do you belong to and clubs or anything. Any responses would be helpful. Hello, and welcome to the third day of sneak peeks for the February release from Market Street Stamps . I am using the set "Slow Movin'." This snail is so cute, I just wanna pinch his/her little cheeks! For stamping the image I used Colorbox Chalk Ink. I love how soft and subtle it came out. I have recently been reintroduced to ATCs (Artist Trading Cards for those of you who may not know what that means.) I have never made them before, but was always amazed by the effort and creativity that could go into them. What I would like to know from you all, are there any of you still making them? If you do, do you actually trade them, or keep them? Do you belong to clubs, swaps or any other atc groups? Anyways, so I tried my hand at them, and I think that they may be addictive! Here are a few that I have made. Let me know what you think! Also, don't forget that it is release week over at Market Street Stamps ! Here are a couple of quick cards using one of Unity's Itty Bitty stamps. I love using them. They are so cute and you can easily whip up some fast projects or use great detail on them. For today, I used the "Sweet as a Bowl of Cherries." The first one is a 4x4 card. I stamped the bowl onto kraft cardstock and used my Copics and Spica pen, then added the October Afternoon patterned paper. Around the edges of the patterned paper, I used my peircing tool to string the twine through. The second card is a 3x3. Welcome to my last post as a guest designer for Peachy Keen Stamps . I am very sad to see my week end, but I had such a great time. I would like to thank you all for stopping by to visit and for all of the wonderful comments. For my last project I decided that I was going to make one last card. I am normally a scrapbooker, at least have been for quite a long time, but lately cards just seem to pull to me, so I have been going with it. I used the St. Patrick's Day stamp set. For the backgrounds, even though my pictures don't show it very well, I used a variety of sprays for added texture and shimmer. They were used on the base card as well as the lighter green up top. I then used my Copics and Spica pens again to enhance the images. One final time, I would like to thank you all for being here with me this week. I hope you enjoyed the projects that I have shared. Hello, once again! I am nearing the end of my guest designer spot of at Peachy Keen Stamps , and it is making me just a little depressed. But you know what helps me feel better? More Valentine's projects!! The card I made for today showcases the stamp set that I will be giving away at the end of my stint here, Valetine Cupids . I am in love with every one of the sayings that Kathy has put into this set, and come on, the mice are simply adorable! For the heart background paper, I stamped the heart outlines from the set in Versamark then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I then took my Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks and blended them over the paper. The clear embossing acts as a resist, so that the true colors from the background paper stay true. I then used the Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Inks again on the cardstock paper that I stamped my image on and blended them. I stamped the mouse using the Walnut Stain ink, and used my Copics to color

I am so honored to be able to share my projects with you! For my project today, there are lots of photos. I hope this helps in some way, as I am a very visual learner, so I think the more photos the better. I used the stamp set Valentine Sweets for this project. I know I am bombarding you with Valentine's things so far, but I just can't seem to help myself. First, for the larger flower, I started out stamping fifteen of the large solid outline hearts onto one piece of paper and then six of the largest dotted outline hearts onto another piece of paper. (All of the hearts were stamped onto paper from The Girls Paperie.) Then, for the smaller flower, I stamped another ten of the largest dotted outline hearts onto yet another piece of paper and four of the smallest dotted outline hearts onto the last piece of

For today's project I will be using the Tuesday Sketch Challenge from the Challenge Blog . I used the Cheers and Green Beer stamp set for my card. I have been so focused lately on Valentine's Day that I have completely blocked out St. Patty's Day! But here is a card to remedy that. I used my Copic Markers to color in the images and used my Spica Glitter Pens for added definition. I am glad to say that I think I am finally getting the hang of these markers. I masked the coins to give a continuous border of them and used a pop dot under the mug of green beer. A sweet hello to everyone out there! I am so excited to be here with you this week. I am completely honored to have been given this opportunity to share some of my projects with all of the Peachy fans out there. For my fist project this week, I thought I would start out with something totally easy, yet so darn cute. I found these heart shaped wooden ornaments at Hobby Lobby, and knew I just had to buy them. They are the perfect size to put the 1 1/8" Wide Eyed Kids faces on. I used paper from The Girls Paperie as the base, then sanded down the edges to blend them smoothly with the wood and for a little distressed look. I then stamped the faces on using Momento Ink and my Signa white pen on the eyes to try to get them to pop a little more. I thought about adding something more to them, but really did not want to detract from the faces, so I left them the way they were. Love is in the air! Can you feel it? I love Valentines season, there is so much pink and red in all of the stores and people get so crafty with making handmade cards, flowers, cookie and such. You can almost taste Spring in the air, hoping that it comes early this year. Can you hear the little chirps in the background? Yeah, me neither. I live in the frigidly cold upper Midwest where we are barely to spring before the official Summer is supposed to start. ;) This card has to be one of my favorites lately. Even though I have two girls, I am not a huge lover of pink, except at this time of year. GASP!!! I know, right? So, I thought just little pieces of it would work perfectly. For the background I used the Hearts A Plenty stamp, and then used the So Happy set for the flower and sentiment, both from Market Street Stamps . You might have noticed, or maybe not, but I use craft paper, a lot. I also have had the obsession with canvas and pins. But, we can talk about those issues at a later d

Hello, ladies! I am very happy to finally post something that I have made lately, that hasn't been required for something. I should be working on things that I do need to get done, but had an idea  i just had to go with. For this card I used the Hearts A Plenty background stamp from Market Street Stamps. I stamped it with VersaMark ink then used clear embossing powder over it. Next, I used my Fired Brick and Vintage Photo Distress Inks to blend over the embossed background, then used the Vintage Photo to ditress ink the edges a little more. I used the Unity Heart Journaling stamp for the heart with Vintage Photo again. The flowers I made with ribbon I had on hand. The red, I cannot remember where it came from, and the cream is from Maya Road. The pins I received in a monthly kit at some point and the leaves are from Prima. Here is a card I made using Follow Your Heart and Simply Stitched Borders  from Market Street Stamps . These are two sets that I find myself using over and over again. They are so versatile! I really like how I can use the different faux stitches to make up my own backgrounds. Mixing and matching them inspires so much creativity! I then stamped the bird and the branch using Momento Ink, so I was able to color on the canvas with my Copics. You really have to use a light hand and be extremely careful with Copics on any fabric, as they tend to bleed very quickly. I start by coloring from the middle out, and take my time to see how far it seeps before I go on. After I was done coloring, I used some dark brown thread to hand stitch a border around the tag. The sentiment is also from the Follow Your Heart set. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed!!!
