I have been looking for some really nice chalk inks, especially lately with all of the chalkboard paper, paints and such out there. I know of three, so those are the ones that I will share with you. If any of you know of more than what I have listed, please share! I also want to put out there that these are my very own opinions. I am not here to sway you any which way, but to give you my humble opinion. The Inks I used are: Hero Hues Chalk Ink-Iris ColorBox Fluid Chalk-Ice Blue VersaMagic Chalk Ink-Aquatic Splash I used each brand on a piece of white cardstock and also on a piece of chalkboard paper. Here are the results: Hero Hues Chalk Ink in Iris Pros: I love the colors that they have out right now. Stamps very evenly. The pad is one of those with a fabric type top, which is a big plus for me. On the white cardstock, the image came out great. Cons: On the chalkboard cardstock, the color did not show up very well. There are a limited amount of colors that they have out right now

Hello, and welcome back to another Saturday challenge from 365 Cards! The prompt today is "Do that Decade" and the decade is the 1950's. For my take on it, I decided to go with a retro bicycle. I searched high and low for an image that I thought would fit the bill, and I finally found it at Two Peas in a Bucket. I used one of the bikes from Shelley Castillo called Bicycle Ride Brush set. One of the great things I love about digistamps and images is the fact that you can fit them to whatever project you are working on. I made this card real simple, as that's how things were back in the 50's. Hello everyone! I hope you all are having a glorious day. Our forecast for today was thunderstorms all day long, but so far they have completely missed us and we have had gorgeous skies above. I've been on Facebook lately, and I have been hearing all this talk about a new paper company, Authentique Paper. So I went over to check out their Facebook page, and come to find out that this is where Miss Margie Romney-Aslett has gone.  I had been very sad when I heard that The Girl's Paperie was not going to be any longer, as I was a huge fan. Now, come to find out that she is part of this new venture, my world has brightened up just a wee bit. I found out that people were finding their new lines at Archivers, so I hopped in my car as soon as I could, and bought just about one of everything in the 3 lines that they had there. {The hubby may be a little shocked once he sees that bill come in!} As soon as I got home I had to play with my new toys! Here is my card for today's challenge  over at 365 Cards. The prompt is to draw inspiration from a movie poster of a movie that is coming out this summer. Hello! So happy you could join me today!! I have my card inspiration for the Market Street Stamps Card Challenge . Along with the sketch there was an added challenge of using a spray mist. The first thing I did was stamp Vintage Notepad using VersaMark onto my white cardstock. I then covered it with clear embossing powder and heated it with my heat gun.  Next, I used October Afternoon's Sprinklers in Lemon Drop and Strawberry and alternated spraying them over the card base. The embossed image works as a resist, and you get a great look! The label is a die cut from Nestabilities Label One onto Bazzill's embossed cardstock, Peek-a-Boo Leaves in white. I then used a yellow ink pad to rub over the raised part of the embossed paper to make it pop a little more.  The rest is self explanatory, or at least I hope so. Hello all!! Hope your week is going great so far. Mine has been busy, busy, busy. We are having some gorgeous weather here in the midwest finally.  Here is a card I made using some Market Street Stamps . Have I mentioned to you at all how much I LOVE these stamps? I just can't get enough of them.  I have been really trying to use some products that I haven't touched in awhile, so on this card I decided to use my Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam. The color is Dirty Martini, but for some reason, when I took the picture, the color seems to be really off. I promise all the shades of green match in real life, but the picture makes them look mismatched. I also was not able to find the ribbon that I wanted to use, so instead I ripped off a piece of fabric in place of the ribbon. I thought it turned out pretty good. I especially love the distressed look of it.  At first I thought that it might be a little too plain, but anything I thought that I might put on there just made it too crowded

Can you believe it? I finally have bought my very first Spellbinders Nestibilities!! I have been hemming and hahing over getting one for the last year, and I finally got up the nerve to just do it. So, I bought Labels 1 and I am absolutely loving it. I am a pretty weird person, but I have had my Cuttlebug for over a year, and I had never used a die in it. I have only used embossing folders because I didn't want to ruin my perfectly non-marred B plate. But now, I have finally used it for cutting and I won't be able to stop! {I will be buying another B plate so that I will have some fresh ones for embossing.} So, for this card, I had soooo much fun. I used some Canvas Crop Corrugated Paper and distressed it, then sprayed the base of the card with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I used Cosmo Cricket's Odds & Ends patterned paper {LOVE IT} with my Labels 1, and then also cut out the quotes from another piece from Odds & Ends. It turned out great, and I am very proud of it

Hello, and welcome to today's card for 365 Cards Saturday Challenge. The challenge for today was "ad inspiration". So I used this ad from Coke: The paper is from Bo Bunny's Gabrielle collection. I fussy cut all of the butterflies, wanting to give the card a bunch of 3D appeal. The border punch is from EK Success. Almost all of my punches are from them, as I have had the least amount of problems with them sticking or plain just not cutting clean. The "I Believe" stamp is from Market Street Stamps' Simple Joys stamp set. I hope you all enjoy this wonderful weekend!!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week so far! I have been busy trying to get things done around the house before some friends get here tomorrow!! Even though I saw them just a month ago, it's a real treat for us to see them more than once a year, them living in the south and all.  Today's card was made for the Market Street Stamps Color Cue Challenge 3 .
