Happy Fall!!

So I thought I would try my hand at playing along with Moxie Fab's Vertical Sketch Challenge . I love to go over to the blog whenever I get a couple of free minutes. Whether the posts are a single inspiring picture, some fun contests, or a kick-in-the-pants challenge, they always seem to pump a little life into my creative juices. Here is the sketch: and here is my card: This particular challenge goes on until midnight on 9/19 if you are interested in playing along. Check out the other awesome cards that people have linked up, too! Card Recipe Patterned Paper and Sticker Strip: Little Yellow Bicycle Letter Stickers: Authentique Ribbon: My Mind's Eye

Trick or Treat!!

I am so ready for Halloween to get here! It is my absolute favorite holiday {what, really???} to celebrate. The decorating, costumes, candy, earthy smells, pumpkin carving, hay rides. You name it, I LOVE it! I know we are still a little over 8 weeks away from it, but I needed me some Halloween fun just a bit early ;) {Not to say that you won't be seeing quite a bit of Halloween and fall projects coming out of my ears.} So here is a card I made using one of the most fun {in my opinion!!} sets from Peachy Keen Stamps . I will be working on quite a bit of baby projects here in the near future, getting ready for my sister's upcoming baby shower, so I will start sharing those in the next week too! Products used: ...

You Make Me Happy

Hello! I am so glad to be back from vacation!! We had lots of fun and saw tons of great things, but you can't beat coming back home to all of your own stuff.  I have missed the last month or so of the Saturday Challenges at 365 Cards due to various trips, but I am back, and super happy to be reunited with my craft room. The challenge for today is to try to make a card in less than 30 minutes and this is what I came up with: For more inspiration and challenges hop on over to the 365 Cards blog and try your hand at some of them! All products used are from Authentique Paper except card base, bling and brad.

Peace

Here is my card for this month's Color Cue Challenge over at Market Street Stamps . I had a lot of fun with this color combo, as it is one of my favorites! Nothing special technique wise here, but I did use a darker grey ink to make it look as though there was a watermark under the peace sentiment. Hope you enjoy!! Today is Your Day, SHINE!!

***Don't forget to check out this post for your chance to win some great blog candy!!*** ***There's only a couple days left to enter the sketch challenge over at Market Street Stamps Blog , so go check that out!!*** Hello and welcome to another Saturday Challenge from 365 Cards. Today's prompt is "Sketch from a Card."   Pam asked me to make a card, and her goal was to show you how easy is is to take inspiration from it and draw a sketch. This card is pretty basic. I took a couple of coordinating patterned papers and found a layering situation that just felt right.  I wanted to incorporate the small scalloped pattern that is in the top most paper, so I used my border punch to emulate that. I wanted the SHINE part of the sentiment to stand out, so I literally made it shine using Glossy Accents. The flower was cut from a piece of ribbon to make an embellishment, I just chose to spray it with some mists to make it match the rest of the card. I hope you all enjoy yo...

My True Happiness is You!!!

Hello everyone! I hope you all are having a glorious day. Our forecast for today was thunderstorms all day long, but so far they have completely missed us and we have had gorgeous skies above. I've been on Facebook lately, and I have been hearing all this talk about a new paper company, Authentique Paper. So I went over to check out their Facebook page, and come to find out that this is where Miss Margie Romney-Aslett has gone.  I had been very sad when I heard that The Girl's Paperie was not going to be any longer, as I was a huge fan. Now, come to find out that she is part of this new venture, my world has brightened up just a wee bit. I found out that people were finding their new lines at Archivers, so I hopped in my car as soon as I could, and bought just about one of everything in the 3 lines that they had there. {The hubby may be a little shocked once he sees that bill come in!} As soon as I got home I had to play with my new toys! This is the first card that I made: I...
