I am so ready for Halloween to get here! It is my absolute favorite holiday {what, really???} to celebrate. The decorating, costumes, candy, earthy smells, pumpkin carving, hay rides. You name it, I LOVE it! I know we are still a little over 8 weeks away from it, but I needed me some Halloween fun just a bit early ;) {Not to say that you won't be seeing quite a bit of Halloween and fall projects coming out of my ears.} So here is a card I made using one of the most fun {in my opinion!!} sets from Peachy Keen Stamps . Today I have the pleasure of being a Guest Designer for a brand new store called Sweet Stamp Shop . The owner there, Nicole, designs the cutest little whimsical stamps!! I had the pleasure of working with her on a design team in the past, and feel absolutely honored to be working with her stamps right now. Here is the first card I made: I think it turned out to be CAS but adorable! I ended up using this for the neighbor boy's birthday card, and I think it fit perfectly for that use. Can you believe that it is the end of May already? I am so ready for the summer to be here and spend all the time I can with my girls. I love it when they are out of school!! Welcome to 365 Cards ' Saturday Challenge. This week our sponsor is Digi Doodle Shop . I chose the Hoot Owl for my card. I was instantly drawn to him, with his big, round eyes. {So sweet!} So, the challenge for today is:  " Boy oh Boy!  Make a masculine card, but add a touch of pink somewhere.  It's a color I avoid when make a card for a man or boy in my life, but I think it can be added without making the card too "girly"" In order to keep the colors of the image kind of muted I used the Copic Colorless Blender to pick up the colors from the other markers. I really like how the textures came out with the process. For my hint of pink, I used some patterned paper punched out with a heart punch that added the perfect splash. Then, for a little more "from the heart" touch I used my own handwriting for the sentiment. Hope you liked the card today! Hello, all! I hope you are having a wonderful day. Today, I am bringing you a card using Blast Off from Market Street Stamps . This set is so adorable and fun to use. I, myself do not have the pleasure of having any boys, but I do have some nephews who I know will totally enjoy anything I make with this set. For the background I used, of course, one of my favorite techniques, blending, using Distress Inks. The colors I used were Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood, Faded Jeans, Broken China and Black Soot. After it was nice and blended I took my Marshmallow Glimmer Mist and sprayed it across the background to give it the Milky Way look. I then stamped and cut out the stars and outlined them. For the rocket, I used my Copic markers and added some sparkle to the flames with an orange Spica pen. I hope you enjoy!!! Hello! I have decided that on Mondays I am going to try to start to play along with some challenges, not only to help me on those funky kind of weeks, but I know that sometimes I get into ruts. Here are a couple of quick cards using one of Unity's Itty Bitty stamps. I love using them. They are so cute and you can easily whip up some fast projects or use great detail on them. For today, I used the "Sweet as a Bowl of Cherries." The first one is a 4x4 card. I stamped the bowl onto kraft cardstock and used my Copics and Spica pen, then added the October Afternoon patterned paper. Around the edges of the patterned paper, I used my peircing tool to string the twine through. The second card is a 3x3. Welcome to my last post as a guest designer for Peachy Keen Stamps . I am very sad to see my week end, but I had such a great time. I would like to thank you all for stopping by to visit and for all of the wonderful comments. For my last project I decided that I was going to make one last card. I am normally a scrapbooker, at least have been for quite a long time, but lately cards just seem to pull to me, so I have been going with it. I used the St. Patrick's Day stamp set. For the backgrounds, even though my pictures don't show it very well, I used a variety of sprays for added texture and shimmer. They were used on the base card as well as the lighter green up top. I then used my Copics and Spica pens again to enhance the images. One final time, I would like to thank you all for being here with me this week. I hope you enjoyed the projects that I have shared. Hello, once again! I am nearing the end of my guest designer spot of at Peachy Keen Stamps , and it is making me just a little depressed. But you know what helps me feel better? More Valentine's projects!! The card I made for today showcases the stamp set that I will be giving away at the end of my stint here, Valetine Cupids . I am in love with every one of the sayings that Kathy has put into this set, and come on, the mice are simply adorable! For the heart background paper, I stamped the heart outlines from the set in Versamark then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I then took my Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks and blended them over the paper. The clear embossing acts as a resist, so that the true colors from the background paper stay true. I then used the Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Inks again on the cardstock paper that I stamped my image on and blended them. I stamped the mouse using the Walnut Stain ink, and used my Copics to color...

For today's project I will be using the Tuesday Sketch Challenge from the Challenge Blog . I used the Cheers and Green Beer stamp set for my card. I have been so focused lately on Valentine's Day that I have completely blocked out St. Patty's Day! But here is a card to remedy that. I used my Copic Markers to color in the images and used my Spica Glitter Pens for added definition. I am glad to say that I think I am finally getting the hang of these markers. I masked the coins to give a continuous border of them and used a pop dot under the mug of green beer. Here is a card I made using Follow Your Heart and Simply Stitched Borders  from Market Street Stamps . These are two sets that I find myself using over and over again. They are so versatile! I really like how I can use the different faux stitches to make up my own backgrounds. Mixing and matching them inspires so much creativity! I then stamped the bird and the branch using Momento Ink, so I was able to color on the canvas with my Copics. You really have to use a light hand and be extremely careful with Copics on any fabric, as they tend to bleed very quickly. I start by coloring from the middle out, and take my time to see how far it seeps before I go on. After I was done coloring, I used some dark brown thread to hand stitch a border around the tag. If you could email me at albertsdob@gmail.com I can get your stamp off you you!!! Next, here is a brand new card that I made using Bit of Burlap and Of the Same Tree . I love how this came out! I also used my Copic markers and did a watercolor technique. How I did that was, I colored the stamp with G99 for the leaves and E47 for the trunk. I then used a MiniMister filled with Colorless Blender and spritzed it a couple times, then quickly stamped onto the paper. I love, love, love how the colors in the markers shifted and blended. Even though it was a pain in the rear to clean the stamp off (using the Colorless Blender in the Minimister), I am amazed with the results. Of the Same Tree is the perfect kind of stamp to do this technique. It helps to have more of a solid stamp for the spritz to really move the ...

Here is a new card using a couple of Market Street Stamps new background stamps. I used Bit of Burlap and Perfectly Pretty Grid . I wanted the distressed look with the Bit of Burlap, so I randomly pounced my ink pad on the stamp, then stamped on the orange cardstock with it. I think it turned it out even better than what I was hoping for. On the green cardstock I randomly stamped bits of the Perfectly Pretty Grid around the edges. And of course the robot is Robo Star , also from Market Street Stamps. The yellow patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket. The twine up on top is from The Twinery . I totally heart the the colors that they have in stock. I have been using it on just about everything I am making these days. In the close up, I hope that you can see that I used the Atyou Spica markers. It adds the perfect amount of glimmer in the small places.
