Here is today's card for the 365 Cards Challenge. The prompt for today is:  to use 5 layers on your card, anyway you want to. I used one of the 6x6 paper pads from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found 2: Rosy for all of the patterned paper. The scalloped circles are punched using an EK Success 2" punch and the circles are punched using Paper Shapers 1 1/4" punch. The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up stamp set called "Bring on the Cake" and the buttons are from my button stash. The twine is American Crafts. Hope you all enjoy World Card Making Day today!

Today's prompt is "Sketch from a Card."   Pam asked me to make a card, and her goal was to show you how easy is is to take inspiration from it and draw a sketch. This card is pretty basic. I took a couple of coordinating patterned papers and found a layering situation that just felt right.  I wanted to incorporate the small scalloped pattern that is in the top most paper, so I used my border punch to emulate that. I wanted the SHINE part of the sentiment to stand out, so I literally made it shine using Glossy Accents. The flower was cut from a piece of ribbon to make an embellishment, I just chose to spray it with some mists to make it match the rest of the card. I hope you all enjoy yo...

Hello all!! Hope your week is going great so far. Mine has been busy, busy, busy. We are having some gorgeous weather here in the midwest finally.  Here is a card I made using some Market Street Stamps . Have I mentioned to you at all how much I LOVE these stamps? I just can't get enough of them.  I have been really trying to use some products that I haven't touched in awhile, so on this card I decided to use my Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam. The color is Dirty Martini, but for some reason, when I took the picture, the color seems to be really off. I promise all the shades of green match in real life, but the picture makes them look mismatched. I also was not able to find the ribbon that I wanted to use, so instead I ripped off a piece of fabric in place of the ribbon. I thought it turned out pretty good. I especially love the distressed look of it.  At first I thought that it might be a little too plain, but anything I thought that I might put on there just made it too c...

What do you look most forward to for summer? Me, I love the time I get to spend with my girls. I love the fact that we can pick up and do just about whatever we want with only a few time constraints. Hello, and welcome to today's card for 365 Cards Saturday Challenge. The challenge for today was "ad inspiration". So I used this ad from Coke: The paper is from Bo Bunny's Gabrielle collection. I fussy cut all of the butterflies, wanting to give the card a bunch of 3D appeal. The border punch is from EK Success. Almost all of my punches are from them, as I have had the least amount of problems with them sticking or plain just not cutting clean. The "I Believe" stamp is from Market Street Stamps' Simple Joys stamp set. I hope you all enjoy this wonderful weekend!!!

Thought I would share this super cute layout I did of my nephew. He is just about the cutest thing out there! He is always talking with such a big vocabulary, and sounds like a mini grown up. I went shopping with him and my sister the other day, and I was yabbering at him like crazy, arguing with him about everything he was telling me. For example, we were going through the makeup aisle and he asked me what something was {can't remember exactly what it was} and I told him it was for girls and asked him if he would like one. He said, "No, I'm not a girl!" And I continued to ask him what he was then. "Are you a puppy? A kitty? A monkey? A goose?" I asked him about 10 things, then he finally got sick of it and said, "I'M A BOY!!!" Of course, I told him I didn't believe him. We went to the next aisle without saying anything else and just as we were stopping to get a hand soap refill, he looked at me and said, "I love my daddy more than you...

Hello everyone! I am slowly but surely getting back in the groove of things after being on vacation last week. We got the opportunity to go down to Arkansas and visit with some friends and have lots of fun. We were able to dodge the tornadoes that tore through that part of the state, my oldest daughter ran in her very first 5k {she did a great job!!}, and we were able to be there for their annual Toad Suck Daze Festival. But now I am back to the grind, and is it sad at all to say that I really missed work? I LOVE my job!! Anyhoo, here is my card for Market Street Stamps Color Cue challenge of the month. Hello! I want to share with you today, this card that I made while away at the scrapbook weekend I recently went to. I am obsessed with putting flowers on things, and came up with this tissue paper one. I had a lot of fun making it, and in the following pictures, I will explain the process that I went through. The supplies that you will need are: 1 sheet of regular tissue paper {that you use for gift wrapping} a 2 1/4 inch scalloped punch {my punches are EK Success} a 2 inch scalloped punch a paper piercer a brad some sort of misting spray and a craft sheet {mine is a Ranger one}  1. First you want to accordion fold your piece of tissue paper. I made my folds about 2 1/2 inches wide.  2. Then you want to fold over an end of the accordion folded tissue inwards about 2 1/2 inches.  3. I then slid the tissue paper into my punch and punched it. When I was through with the bigger punch, I cut off the end and folded it over again in order to pun...

Continuing on with some more product that I fell in love with at CHA, here is a card made with Pink Paislee's collaboration with the House of Three, called Soiree. My heart pitter-pats at the colors in this collection, not to mention some of the extras that were released with it, such as the twine and the wood shapes. On this card I punched a border on the yellow polka dot paper, then a different border on the pink and white flower paper. I then cut the paper embellishments out of yet another piece of the patterned paper. I sprayed the wood teapot with  Honey Dew Glimmer Mist and added on a self made cabochon. {More on those in a  soon coming post.} Hope you enjoyed today's card!
