So, it's that time again. Time for another giveaway. I have been busy here in Anaheim at CHA working in the Market Street Stamps booth and walking the floor finding lots of goodies for Peachy Keen's Peachy Picks. I have met so many lovely ladies who I have previously only known through web and many new faces too. I do have to say that I am missing my family, but I am also having so much fun here! Today's prompt is "Sketch from a Card."   Pam asked me to make a card, and her goal was to show you how easy is is to take inspiration from it and draw a sketch. This card is pretty basic. I took a couple of coordinating patterned papers and found a layering situation that just felt right.  I wanted to incorporate the small scalloped pattern that is in the top most paper, so I used my border punch to emulate that. I wanted the SHINE part of the sentiment to stand out, so I literally made it shine using Glossy Accents. The flower was cut from a piece of ribbon to make an embellishment, I just chose to spray it with some mists to make it match the rest of the card. I hope you all enjoy yo...

Can you believe it? I finally have bought my very first Spellbinders Nestibilities!! I have been hemming and hahing over getting one for the last year, and I finally got up the nerve to just do it. So, I bought Labels 1 and I am absolutely loving it. I am a pretty weird person, but I have had my Cuttlebug for over a year, and I had never used a die in it. I have only used embossing folders because I didn't want to ruin my perfectly non-marred B plate. But now, I have finally used it for cutting and I won't be able to stop! {I will be buying another B plate so that I will have some fresh ones for embossing.} So, for this card, I had soooo much fun. I used some Canvas Crop Corrugated Paper and distressed it, then sprayed the base of the card with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I used Cosmo Cricket's Odds & Ends patterned paper {LOVE IT} with my Labels 1, and then also cut out the quotes from another piece from Odds & Ends. It turned out great, and I am very proud of it...

It seems like winter was just starting {and here where I live it still feels that way} a few days ago, and we were all so caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays. One of the things I love most about Spring is the feeling of starting out fresh again! Fresh air, new blooms, spring cleaning, and that renewed energy that comes along with it all. So, in order to start my spring, I thought I might "clean" out some picture albums and get them scrapped. These pictures were taken in 2007! ;O The pictures are very neutral with a hint of pink in them, so I chose some very springy papers and embellishments. Here is a new card using a couple of Market Street Stamps new background stamps. I used Bit of Burlap and Perfectly Pretty Grid . I wanted the distressed look with the Bit of Burlap, so I randomly pounced my ink pad on the stamp, then stamped on the orange cardstock with it. I think it turned it out even better than what I was hoping for. On the green cardstock I randomly stamped bits of the Perfectly Pretty Grid around the edges. And of course the robot is Robo Star , also from Market Street Stamps. The yellow patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket. The twine up on top is from The Twinery . I totally heart the the colors that they have in stock. I have been using it on just about everything I am making these days. In the close up, I hope that you can see that I used the Atyou Spica markers. It adds the perfect amount of glimmer in the small places. Here is a page that was done at the Extravaganza. The paper is from Bo Bunny Mama-razzi line. The black script tape is from 7 Gypsies, and the pin is from Maya Road. The letters are a mix from Cosmo Cricket and Scenic Route. I painted the letters with Tattered Angels' Glimmer Glam. I have become obsessed with this stuff. Just the right amount of shimmer, gloss and glitter. PERFECT!!! I love this paper, the colors and just what it represents. I am a mom who is constantly taking pictures and who's daughters have become my celebrities. This particular layout is of my husband and I's 10 year wedding anniversary. We took a long weekend trip up to Door County. It is a completely gorgeous place to go. There are little shops around every corner, beautiful scenery at any view, and just peace and calm around you. I love it there!
