Today's prompt is "Sketch from a Card."   Pam asked me to make a card, and her goal was to show you how easy is is to take inspiration from it and draw a sketch. This card is pretty basic. I took a couple of coordinating patterned papers and found a layering situation that just felt right.  I wanted to incorporate the small scalloped pattern that is in the top most paper, so I used my border punch to emulate that. I wanted the SHINE part of the sentiment to stand out, so I literally made it shine using Glossy Accents. The flower was cut from a piece of ribbon to make an embellishment, I just chose to spray it with some mists to make it match the rest of the card. I hope you all enjoy yo...

Here is my card for today's challenge  over at 365 Cards. The prompt is to draw inspiration from a movie poster of a movie that is coming out this summer. Today's movie poster is for the new Winnie the Pooh movie.  When I think about Winnie the Pooh, my mind immediately goes to friendship, and that is what I based my card on today.    Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed today's card!!! Hope you are all having a wonderful week so far! I have been busy trying to get things done around the house before some friends get here tomorrow!! Even though I saw them just a month ago, it's a real treat for us to see them more than once a year, them living in the south and all.  Today's card was made for the Market Street Stamps Color Cue Challenge 3 . Hello! I hope you all are having a great long weekend!! We are finally having some nice weather here in Wisconsin. Though it might not be as warm as it should be, I will take what we have right now. For my Market Street Stamps card today, I used the Zebra Print background and Fashionista stamp set. I think that these sets work amazingly well together and are so much fun! To fill in the shoe, I used stickles, and on the yellow Zebra print background, I sprayed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. The fashionista sentiment was stamped with Versamark then covered with embossing powder.

Market Street Stamps has really come out with some of the best background stamps in the industry. The fact that they cover a full A2 card, you can see through them so that you know exactly where you are stamping, and the quality only adds to their appeal. Here is a card I made using the new Vintage Wallpaper and Enjoy Today . I really am in love with all things vintage, but mostly with a clean feel to them. Here I used Dried Marigold, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, and Walnut Stain Distress Inks to blend the background, and then took some Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist and sprayed it and dropped some drips from the bottle onto it. The stamps are stamped with Walnut Stain also. The Tim Holtz die was also blended with the same colors as the background, then I punched two small holes in order to pass the ribbon through, and finished it up with some metal flowers. Sorry this wasn't posted yesterday, but I was a lot busier than I had anticipated. Here are some projects I made using Peachy Keen Stamps . The owner, Kathy, is so very talented and she always comes out with the cutest stuff! For all three of the cards, I used Echo Park's Merry Christmas line. For this first card I used the Lorie and Al Gingerbread Set for the image and the saying is from the Bite Me Ginger set. I also used Peapod twine from The Twinery, my white Signa Uniball pen for the frosting, and Copic Markers to color in the image. The saying and image was stamped using Memento Rich Cocoa. Hello, everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend, I know I did. I went to my first hockey game with the hubby and friends. I absolutely loved it! I can never really seem to get into sports by watching them on the TV, but when I get to go watch them live, I always have such fun. On Friday evening, I am going to post my first tutorial. I will be making the baby brag book. This is one of the classes that I taught at extravaganza, and a lot of people had a hard time putting the book together by me just explaining it, so I decided I will show you. I know that I pick up things much better as I watch and do, rather than listening. OK, here is another layout I made with one of the kits I received at extravaganza.
