It is another Saturday challenge over at 365 Cards . Today's prompt is 3 S's. Pam has chosen 2 of the S's which are sponging and stickers. The 3rd S is personal choice and I chose stamping.  I used Tea Dye Distress Ink to do the sponging around all of the paper products. The stickers are cardstock stickers from Crate Paper and the stamp, Hello My Friend, is from Unity Stamp Co. I also added a fabric flower from Bella Blvd and some pink pearl bling from Recollections.

Hello, and welcome back to another Saturday challenge from 365 Cards! The prompt today is "Do that Decade" and the decade is the 1950's. For my take on it, I decided to go with a retro bicycle. I searched high and low for an image that I thought would fit the bill, and I finally found it at Two Peas in a Bucket. I used one of the bikes from Shelley Castillo called Bicycle Ride Brush set. One of the great things I love about digistamps and images is the fact that you can fit them to whatever project you are working on. I made this card real simple, as that's how things were back in the 50's. Here are a couple of quick cards using one of Unity's Itty Bitty stamps. I love using them. They are so cute and you can easily whip up some fast projects or use great detail on them. For today, I used the "Sweet as a Bowl of Cherries." The first one is a 4x4 card. I stamped the bowl onto kraft cardstock and used my Copics and Spica pen, then added the October Afternoon patterned paper. Around the edges of the patterned paper, I used my peircing tool to string the twine through. The second card is a 3x3. Hello, ladies! I am very happy to finally post something that I have made lately, that hasn't been required for something. I should be working on things that I do need to get done, but had an idea  i just had to go with. For this card I used the Hearts A Plenty background stamp from Market Street Stamps. I stamped it with VersaMark ink then used clear embossing powder over it. Next, I used my Fired Brick and Vintage Photo Distress Inks to blend over the embossed background, then used the Vintage Photo to ditress ink the edges a little more. I used the Unity Heart Journaling stamp for the heart with Vintage Photo again. The flowers I made with ribbon I had on hand. The red, I cannot remember where it came from, and the cream is from Maya Road. The pins I received in a monthly kit at some point and the leaves are from Prima. Here is a card I recently made for a swap. The idea was to use a brown paper bag, and the theme was fall. The supplies I used are as follows: Unity Stamps' Simple Blessings, Tattered Angel's Sugar Maple Glimmer Mist, Tim Holtz distress inks in Rusty Hinge, Walunt Stain, and Vintage Photo, Tom Holtz Distress Stickles in Antique Bronze, and Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powder in Walnut Stain. I really liked how this card turned out even though it is a little plain. Hope you enjoy!
