A Little Vintage Love

Welcome! I 'm sharing my card for the 365 Cards ' Saturday Challenge. Today's prompt was make a vintage inspired card with yellow as the main color. I have a lot of fun making vintagey projects, but I tend to get very overwhelmed by them.  Anyhoo! Here is what I came up with.  Hope you enjoy!!! The patterned paper is from Crate Paper. The die cut is from Tim Holtz/Sizzix. And the stamp is from a stamp set I bought awhile ago from Pink Paislee. The ink is Distress Ink from Tim Holtz/Ranger.

Keep Calm!!

365 Cards Day 82 Challenge!!

Welcome back to another card for the Saturday challenge from 365 Cards . This week our sponsor is DRS Designs . Take a second to go over and check them out. They have some super amazing images to work with. Here is the challenge for today: Caught in a Corner - You know those big and fabulous pieces of patterned paper that are perfect for a scrapbook page, but not necessarily for a card?  Well that's what I want you to use on your card.  It can have decorative edging, or perhaps a large picture on it that you have to cut into.  The idea is to show how you can use that sort of patterned paper on a card, by cutting down a corner of it (or really any piece of it). And here is my card:   If you haven't had a chance to do so yet, hop on over to the 365 Cards blog and give the challenges a whirl. Pam does an excellent job of getting your mojo flowing! Market Street Stamps Sketch Challenge 2!!

Hello! Glad you could join me today for my next inspirational project for Market Street Stamps ' Sketch Challenge 2. I had a lot of fun with this weeks sketch. Though it is pretty simple as a sketch, there was an added twist to use a background stamp as an embellishment.  Here is the sketch: And here is my card. I used the Woodgrain background and stamped onto some patterned tissue paper, then punched them out with a scalloped circle. I layered then, put a brad through the middle, scrunched up each layer, unfurled them, and wallah! super pretty flower. I then added some bling for some added pop. I then took a scrap piece of the green cardstock and placed a piece of painters tape where I wanted my sentiment to go, then stamped the Woodgrain background on the piece of paper. Finally, I took off the painters tape and stamped the sentiment. Hopefully you can tell, I took my clear glitter pen ans traced over the letters for a little extra sparkle. Hop on over to the Market Street ...

365 Cards Day 68 Challenge!!

For today's challenge over at 365 Cards I was challenged to use this image for inspiration: What I made was this card: The Rosie the Riveter poster makes me think about the long way that women have come in this nation. We have made great strides in political, economical, and monetary aspects of the US, but there are still a great number of us who struggle with the belief in ourselves. The sentiment I put on the card is for myself, my friends and family, and all of the women out there to remind us that we all have greatness inside, we just need to believe in it. I also decided to use the color scheme for the card. They are so bold and strong, just like us women!! Soiree Card!!

Continuing on with some more product that I fell in love with at CHA, here is a card made with Pink Paislee's collaboration with the House of Three, called Soiree. My heart pitter-pats at the colors in this collection, not to mention some of the extras that were released with it, such as the twine and the wood shapes. On this card I punched a border on the yellow polka dot paper, then a different border on the pink and white flower paper. I then cut the paper embellishments out of yet another piece of the patterned paper. I sprayed the wood teapot with  Honey Dew Glimmer Mist and added on a self made cabochon. {More on those in a  soon coming post.} Hope you enjoyed today's card! Spooky!

Here is a card I made using Peachy Keen Stamps and the Twilight collection from last years release by Pink Paislee. I absolutely love the stamps by Peachy Keen. They are always so fun and whimsical. Halloween is my favorite time of years. I love the fact that I can act like a kid and get away with it, not to mention the trick-or-treating with my kids.
